Hello,

Anxiety and weigh changes are possible side effects of Cipralex (Escitalopram). Normally, they do fade in a few weeks after starting to use it. In your case, because you have these symptoms for longer you will need to talk with your doctor to see the possibility of using another drug in its place.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General and Family Physician
