What Causes Weight Gain And Body Aches After An Angioplasty?

I had an angioplasty and a stent placed in my one artery. I was then put on Plavis, Imdur, Toprol and Zocor. I have gained weight and I have an achiness all over now too. What causes this weight gain and achiness and what can I do about it? Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
None of the drugs Plavis (clopidrogel),Imdur (Isosorbide Mononitrate),Toprol (Metoprolol) or Zocor (Simvastatin) causes weight gain. However weight gain can occur on cessation of smoking (lifestyle changes following angioplasty).
Zocor (Simvastatin) can cause malaise(achiness all over).
