What Causes Weight Gain In A Teenager?
Where can I take my adopted teen to get tested for a genetic disorder. She had a rapid weight gain after getting her period, 45 pounds in 5months. It was first thought to be Hoshimotos and she was taking synthroid that had varied results. She recently stopped the meds. and her thyroid baseline is normal, but she continues to gain weight. She has regular period so POlycystic Ovarian is ruled out and so is Cushing. Help!,, She was always thin and fit.

if her thyroid profile is normal and pcos is also ruled out then no worries in actual.just modify her routine values like dietry modification and exercise routine .run 1km in fast atleast ,avoid more fatty meals, no need to start dieting in this age, just modify the things.
