You could have polycystic ovary disease (PCO), or some kind of hormonal problem related to the adrenal glands. PCO causes irregular periods and overweight. Thyroid disease is another possibility; it can also result in hair loss and weight gain. Your best bet is to see a specialist in gynecologic endocrinology- a doctor who specializes in women's hormonal problems. There is also a smaller chance that you are having problems with the pituitary gland. This is a small gland in the brain that controls the other endocrine glands in your body. See the specialist and get this fully evaluated. Hope this helps.
