What Causes Weight Gain While On Cyproterone?

I am PCOD, doctor prescribed me Cyproterone Acetate and Ethinyloestradiol Tablet for six month and but i m using it for last 2 year earlier after 21 tablet my periods start but after 7 or 8 month only 1 tablet and after 10 days my period start and last for 3 days and even i m feeling like i m gaining weight,. Please tell me what to do. should i take this medicine or not because my periods are still irregular.

Hi,

Both the PCOD and the drug that is given for this can cause the irregular period. So it is better to continue the prescribed medicine once you finished the course of PCOD. Menstruation will be regular but in the initial phase of therapy irregular period is pretty common and it is nothing to worry.
