What Causes Weight Loss And Loss Of Appetite While On Lactulose?

My husband is a type ii diabetic has liver failure in middle stages of dementia, and takes 2 water pills a day for edema, I have noticed in the past few days something is just not right, he also takes lactulose to rid his body of ammonia, also in the past week he has lost 6-7 pounds and really has very little appetite, what could be going on?

Well...lactulose is not responsible for Hus weight loss and appetite... Your husband is diabetic and has liver problem.so that's the reason that he loss weight and appetite...
Lactulose is helpful to your husband.
Put a strict control on blood sugar and check His liver profile on monthly basis.
