Hello, I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The impact of the fibroid on the pregnancy depends on the position of the fibroid with relation to the implanted embryo, the size of the fibroid and its complications. While a submucosal variety can cause an abortion, pregnancy can continue to term with the subserous variety, especially when pedunculated. The only possible complication with the latter is torsion of the peduncle. The cause of the bleeding you experienced is to be reviewed and regular follow up done to monitor the progress of the pregnancy. Hormone deficiencies, bleeding due to the increased vascularity secondary to pregnancy from the fibroid are the most likely causes. A trans-vaginal/pelvic sonogram will help to clarify. Please get proper management from your health care provider. Hope this helps.
