What Causes White Matter Disease In A 69-year-old?

I was just diagnosed with White Matter Disease after a small brain bleed/stroke. I am a 69 year old female in very good health. Never smoked, low BP, low cholesterol, no diabetes. Don t know the cause. Had several test done from blood drawn. No results yet. Had two MRI s and a CT. Just freaking out about my future. Had no symptoms yet.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If this is the cerebral stroke then it could be due to hypertension (High blood pressure ). Nothing to worry.

Hope this information helps.
