What Causes White Patches On Face?

Dear Doctor, This is ranithomas. im having 4 months baby girl. Recently she is developed with white oval shapes patches on both her cheeks. She has dark skin tone, so white patches are visible clearly. i dont know what it would be. im a working lady, so i didnt feed her much, instead she is feeding by NAN powder. now started sold foods. (Rice + milk bikis biscuit). And recently we shifted to bangalore. so what may be the reason? Please advice. Note : im using johnson baby soap(pink), powder (Pink), and nivea baby cream while we are gng out in sun. And while bathing, using besan flour + turmeric. Hi,

White oval patches over face in children usually suggests a condition called Pityriasis Alba. But we have to consider P. Versicolour also, which is a fungal infection. P. Alba is a benign condition, and most commonly will disappear its own in 8-10 months. If parents are so concerned, we used to give a moisturising cream to be applied twice daily, and sometimes mildly potent topical steroids.
