I have noted your son's symptoms as well as
MRI brain findings.
The most likely causes for a white spot (hyperintense lesion) in the brain in a 21-year old are
demyelination (such as multiple
sclerosis) or infection.
The confirmation of diagnosis can be done by
lumbar puncture (CSF analysis) and MRI of spine.
There is no need to worry, as there are good treatments available for both the conditions.
