What Causes White, Stringy Bowel Movements?

I have white stringy bowel motions the fourth day after having possible food poisoning. Started Friday night with abdominal cramps, then lots of watery motions for a night and a day, then white large motion after eating yesterday, and white stringy this morning. Tummy a bit like a concrete mixer. I have also had a colonoscopy within the last two months and have had polyps removed - but am not imagining there is any connection.
