What Causes Whitish/yellowish Patch On Back Of Neck Spreading To Mouth, Chin?

My husband first notice a whitish /yellowish patch on the back side of my neck. After 2 to 3 days I noticed that it is appearing on the sides of my mouth and then on my chin.these patches are spreading frequently. And now after few days I am noticing them on my hands. I am worried. Don t know whether it is vitiligo or pityriasis alba. Can anyone help me?

I have gone through complaints and it could be pityriasis alba or polymorphic light eruption which is an allergic reaction to sunlight.
