What Causes Worsening Of Fibromyalgia Pain Post Topamax Withdrawal?

Hi. I stopped taking my 200 mg daily dose of topomax a few weeks ago in hopes my migraines would improve and instead they got worse as did my fibro. My fibro is now at a very painful point and I m wondering if this could be related to me stopping the topomax?

Topamax and other anti-epileptics lower nerve activity and as such are useful in nerve pain. Topamax is especially good for preventing migraines. Stopping a medicine that is working will by definition make it stop working and whatever it was stopping will return.
Furthermore, anti-epileptics TEND to have rebound/withdrawal effects when they are stopped. Cannot say in your particular situation if that occurred.
