General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi

Apart from fractures, muscle strain, tendon inflammation or nerve compression ,neuropathies can cause wrist pain or cramps.Fine motor actions such as writing can also be affected. These changes may not be visible in x rays.

Rest to the hand, pain killers and hot compress can reduce the discomfort.

Any Vitamin D deficiency or diabetes should be ruled out. Splints or braces may be required to immoblize the wrist and ensure early recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards
