Hello,

The tingling in the hands is suggestive of carpal tunnel syndrome, which is probably related to the swelling. In my opinion the most important issue in this clinical situation is the swelling which needs further investigation. For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician for a physical exam and some tests:
- A cardiac ultrasound and NT pro BNP levels for heart failure
- Kidney and liver function tests
- A complete blood count, PCR, ESR for inflammation
- HbA1C for diabetes. You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
