What Causes Wrist Pain In A Child?

My 9 year old son has been complaining about pain in his right wrist for around 2 months now. He doesn't complain everyday but I'd say at least twice a week for the past 2 months he's been really complaining about it. I've tried giving him tylenol/ibprophen but I am growing more concerned.

Hi,

Thanks for you question.

The pain in your childs wrist does require further investigation to find a cause. I would start with blood work and an X-ray of your childs wrist. If these investigations are normal then an MRI could be performed.

There are many possibilities as to the pain.

Best wishes
