What Causes Yellow Discharge From Left Nipple?

Today, just before getting in the shower, I was giving myself a self breast exam. I lightly squeezed my nipple as instructed by my doctor to check for discharge. There was a yellow discharge from my left nipple and it felt similar to a pimple popping. Is this something I should worry about?
