What Causes Yellowish Discharge Around The Hemorrhoid?
I had a hemorrhoid lanced a week ago Thursday. The bleeding is very minimal, hurts like crazy after a bowel movement, 2 days ago I noticed the gauze I used to pack the area had a yellowish tint. It doesn t hurt, but there is definitely a yellowish discharge around the hemmorrhoid. Should I be concerned?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of lancing of of hemorrhoid a week back, noticed yellow discharge on the pack used for dressing, there is pain in bowel movement. Wants to know whether to be concerned.. Since there is surgery around anus, the bowel movement is going to soil the wound as the feces is full of bacteria. Hence there may also be a pain after bowel movement. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Sitz bath after passing stool and clean with plain water. Oral antibiotics and anti-inflammatory medicines with pain killer properties. Consult your Surgeon for review.
