What Could A Black Spot On Left Tonsil Possibly Be?

Hi I recently had a secondry infection and I noticed a black spot almost like a vein on my left tonsil and now its turned yellowish it has been there approx 6 weeks what could it be? I was diagnosed with oligoastrocytoma Gr2 5 years ago and am really anxious until I see a ear nose & throat surgeon at end of month. I am also on epilepsy medication due to the brain tumor.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

You consult an ENT Surgeon. If needed, they can take biopsy of that black spot and sent for histopathology.

You need to worry. If needed, tonsils can be removed and it will cause no danger.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Rajat Basak
