What Could A Mobile, Golf Sized Lump Beneath The Shoulder Blade Indicate, Lipoma Has Been Ruled Out?
I have undergone minor surgery to remove what was thought to be a lipoma under my right shoulder blade. It feels about the size if a golf ball and seems to move. It turns out that there is no lipoma but a very small nodule underneath the muscle which gives the appearance of a larger lump. I am awaiting my MRI results but very curious as to what this could be??
Hi, welcome to Health care magic forum. It is difficult to find out the structures identity, clinically. C.T. scan also may not be able to find out the identity of it. The biopsy of the excised structure may reveal the identity. As it is it may be a lymph mode, that has enlarged, and may be calcified.Or it may be a collection connective tissue around a foreign body. What ever it is it may not be a malignancy, it could be some benign structure. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery.
