What Could A Person Unable To Talk And Hear Much After Stroke And Being Restless Might Be Experiencing?

Sir, my father developed stroke, and he has been taken to the hospital! And now, on bed, he is restless and always feeling pain. He can't talk, but he can speak silently and hear not very much. I want to know what i can do and what is the cause of this RESTLESSNESS that he is experiencing?????
