Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, for several months I have been cramps, some time worse than others. A lot of sickness to the stomach also. The last 2 weeks my doctor decided to have me get an ultra sound done. I have no uterus but did keep my ovries. The first ultra sound the Dr said I have some blood around my ovries and sometimes it can desolve into the body. The ultrasound last week had more blood and he was concerned. I have go on Wednesday but am very worried..... He gave me meds for the pain but I have a young child and my husband works various shifts. What do you think this is, what should I expect? I have prepared myself for anything. Please help me.
Hello, I can understand your concern for your symptoms. 1) This might be hemorrhagic cyst of ovary which sometimes rupture spontaneously and produce stomach pain. 2) Small sized cyst does not require any specific treatment but if size more than 5cm then it require either aspiration or surgery for removal. Small sized cysts do not produce symptoms and if ruptured, its content absorbed by body. 3) I would recommend you to do follow up USG abdomen to check status of same cyst which was found in previous scan.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any further query, I would be happy to help you. Have a good day!
