What Could Be Extreme Sleepiness And Tiredness While Having History Of Full Hysterectomy?

I have been having trouble with getting sleepy and it comes on very fast and hits me hard to where I cannot make myself stay awake. I can sometimes here others talking to me but cannot answer correctly without sounding very lethargic and unable to understand. I will snap out of it after so long, not sure if there is a set time or just happens, and even though I am still tired I can make myself stay up for a while before it hits me again. I am wondering if this is just something that comes with age, menopause (I had a full hysterectomy in Oct. of 2005), or something that could be more serious. I just want my energy back!!!

Hello ma'am and welcome.

With the given history and surgical procedure conducted in the past, the cause could most probably be a hormonal insufficiency. I would recommend a visit to your doctor to help diagnose the cause and accorsingly treat it.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
