What Could Be The Cause For A Pulled Muscle In The Groin Area?

thank you. I pulled a groin muscle in Aug. while cutting fire wood. my leg slide sideways. I have since have lower right side abdominal pain, especially when sitting. something other than a pulled muscle? I still have an appetite, and have not lost weight. possibly pancreas? hernia? I am scheduled for a routine colonoscopy next month

Hello,

It does not sound like pancreas problem. Hernia you should be able to see something "popping out" in the area. Pain in the groin muscles could be radiating up to your lower abdomen. From what you write it sounds harmless.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kasper Kristensen, General & Family Physician
