What Could Be The Chunk Of Red Tinged, Fleshy Mucus Which Appears During Cold?

When I have a cold I tend to blow out a single chunk of fleshy mucus that is red tinged about the size of a dime. It takes a bit of blowing to get it out but once it is out I feel so much better. It feels like it is in the upper nose area. What is this?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

It is not likely to be in the upper nose area, rather it is likely to be arising from one of your sinuses and i think you should meet your ent doctor for further advice. Please dont blow your nose with force a this will only damage the lining and make things worse,
Please meet your ent doctor , he will give you the necessary medications and guide you further, Thanks
