What Could Be The Expected Recovery Period Post Ovary Removal Surgery?

I am 55 years old with a uterus and am on hormone replacement therapy. I exercise 4 times per week. I am having my ovaries removed on Monday as an outpatient because my mother died of ovarian cancer. I am also having a d and c. I am wondering how long it will take me to get back on my feet.

Hello,

You can be ambulatory a few days after surgery. You can resume regular activities in a week or so. Exercising can be resumed in 6 weeks while avoiding heavy lifting.

Hope this answers your query
