What Could Be The Hard Knot On Stomach Beside Belly Button After A Hard Fall On Stomach Be?

Yes my husband fell last thursday from a ladder 4 ft off the ground and fell on a stainless steal sink on his stomach. Now he has a hard knot. What could this be? Knot is beside the belly button on the left side. About the size of a softball..Your wrong trying to charge me for an answer. We are really worried! Thanks :/

Thanks for writing to HCM

Swelling is most likely due to hematoma as he had history of fall.You shouldn't ignore this.
He need clinical examination and investigations.
Firstly ultrasound of abdomen should be done to exclude other injuries.
Treatment depends upon clinical findings and investigation reports.
If hematoma is small then it may be treated conservatively otherwise drainage may be required.
