What Could Be The Hard Sore Spot On The Outside Of My Foot?

left foot on the outside of ball of foot has a corn and/or hard sore spot. It has been there for approx. 2 years. I had a hammer toe develop on the right foot but had a local foot doctor correct it. I have had this corn and/or hard spot since about that time. Can you advise me what to do or what it might be?

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
A hammer toe itself can cause a hard swelling on the side of the toe. This can be due to corn also. If it is gradually increasing in the size with pain then surgical removal or correction may be needed.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
