What Could Be The Long Lasting Cold?

is it normal to have a cold for 2-3 weeks. i started with a cold, seem like it was going away and double back with body aches (1 day) now i'm full of mucus, i've been taking Alkasa plus and it helps me sleep but my mouth is very dry in the morning. i am intact with a 15 month old baby every week which has a cold. i never kept a cold this long. it seem like since i've been around this baby, im catching more colds. Could it be the baby keeping me sick?

Hi,Dear,Thanks for your query to HCM.
Dear I read your query and reviewed it with context to your query facts.
I understood your health concerns and feel Concerned about them.

Based on the facts of your query, you seem to suffer from-
?Sinusitis with recurrent ? Flu infection.
The cold has dragged long, may be due to the extension of infection to Sinuses this time.
Your baby and you needs a check with your GP doctor and Ent/ Paediatric doctor.Chances of your baby getting re-infected from you are more,as you have a strong immune strength than your baby.
X-ray Skull for Sinuses / and Chest X-ray- with CBC test would resolve your health issues.
Other causes of repeated / long continued cold-TB/Allergic rhinitis,Deviated Nasal septum with sinusitis, needs to be kept in mind and ruled out.

Hope this would help you to solve your health issues in the best way possible.
Welcome for any further query in this regard.

Good Day!!
