What Could Be The Possible Cause Of Clotting During Period?

I have been on my period for 29 days and having a huge amount of clotting.what can I do? I know that I am not preg because tubes are tied, however my periond only lasted 2 days last month. I am 42 could I be going through the change or could something else be going on?

Hi,
If you have been menstruating for so long, it is high time to get medical aid. Please see a specialist immediately, get an exam, sonogram, blood counts and urinalysis. You may need styptics to arrest the bleeding, hormones if there is no response and replacement of iron and calcium. You may also need a complete hormonal profile as well. It could be due to your age, but things need to be clarified early. Please maintain genital hygiene. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
