What Could Be The Protruding Bump Below The Ribs?

My 6 months old daughter has some type of bump on one of her lower ribs, as if it was part of the bone and protruding. I would like to know what it could be. I will be seeing her doctor next tuesday but as I found this site, I thought about asking the question. Thank you!

Hello,
It could be a bony swelling like osteoma.
Consult a pulmonologist and plan for a CT scan to make a diagnosis.
If there is diagnostic confusion, a fine needle biopsy may be required.
