What Could Be The Raised Area On Right Upper Thigh?

It has been 3 weeks since I notice a raised area on the outer aspect of my right upper thigh.Cant remember bumping into anything .The area is purplish red in the middle ,firm at times and is tolerable painful ,with sore surrounding tissues,no exudate.Also there is a similar area on my upper back that I was once told is a cyst .It was once punctured with a sterile needle and drainage was exudated,offensive.It still has a smell if I press omit.Please help

I have read your question, I would recommend that you go for a colour Doppler ultrasound to exactly know what it is before puncturing it.
