What Could Be The Reason Behind Insomnia, anxiety, Stress And Weight Gain?

I am a 34 year old female. The only Rx I take is Gianvi (oral contraceptive). I take a B complex and Vitamin D3 OTC. I take occasional OTC allergy medicine. I have gain 30+ pounds since September, I have had trouble with insomnia for 2 years, but Rx meds never worked. I have increased anxiety and stress lately. I do have a scheduled appointment with my Dr., but I am curious what is happening to my body!

Hi,

In some people, increased anxiety and stress is also associated with increased weight because stress and anxiety do not allow to sleep well. Studies have shown that irregular sleeping can lead to weight gain.

You are reporting to be using Gianvi as oral contraceptives. Please bare in mind that the long-time use of oral contraceptives is associated with weight gain too.

I'd suggest to discuss with your doctor about managing stress and anxiety to get to sleep and other alternatives to Gianvi.

All the best!
