What Could Be The Reason Behind Shaky Hand And Difficulty In Writing?

Hi am MA Khan, since 1998 i have being experiencing difficulty in writing, each time i pick up a pen to write i realise that my hand will start to shake. some times my hand just remian on the paper without moving, this has lead to serious fear and shame, becuase when ever i just thing of writing i start to panic becuase i know i am going to mess up the paper, i can not even sign my own name. two i become too shame and nevuos. what is the problam with me?

Hello,
Now You have the tremor. Tremors are many types like postural tremor, intention tremor and static tremor etc.
It is difficult to classify what type of the tremor without physical and neurological examination.
Any you need thorough neurological examination and further blood investigations initially.
There are many causes for tremor and it is also of many types. Some common causes are
1. Anxiety and stress
2. Cerebellar disease
3. Parkinsonism.
4. Alcohol abuse
5. Hyperthyroidism.

Still there are many causes for tremor like Wilson's disease etc.
Depending upon the neurological findings on examination and history, we investigate to identify the cause.
If you are my patient after examination, i will send you for further investigations like
1. Complete blood count
2. Thyroid profile
3. ElectroEncephalogram
4. Serum Copper and Ceruloplasmin.
5. CT and MRI brain - if necessary.
Then i will refer you to neurologist for further management.
