What Could Be The Reason For A Child Having Racing And Pounding Heart, Sweating, Panicing?
Hi my 9 year old has woken for the past three night with a racing heart sweating n shaking n sounding all panicky. He has previously been a good sleeper so this is out of the blue. He has got a bit of a cold at the moment. But he had sweated so much I had to remove his top n shaking n his heart I could feel was pounding away :-( at a loss to why this is happening

This is normal phenomenon, but to just clear the doubt I would advise you to go for cardiac evaluation, for safety purpose, second nasal congestion can also produces such symptoms, check it also, cold cough may also constrict the air ways, such a mixing kind of reasons could be the causes, and that should be treated, and this will be fine have nice day.
