What Could Be The Reason For A Choking Sensation In Neck And A Hurting Feeling In Head?

The other day I got a severe choking sensation in my neck and it felt like the blood was being cut off to my head. I knealt down and lowered my head and after a few minutes it went away. I was not eating or drinking. I was standing and not doing any exercise.
