What Could Be The Reason For Change In Dosage Of Diltizem Time Release From 180 Mg To 90 Mg?

why did my Dr drop me from 180 mg diltizem time release to 90 mg..I do have emphesema and copd...also I have hypercardiopathy..I am 82 years old.. I take blood pressure metropolo tart med also. My heart Dr. had me on the 180 and my family Dr. changed it to lower dose.

Diltizem is basically an antihypertensive medicine that is time tested. It is also used for controlling heart rate.
The dose has to be reduced if blood pressure or heart rate is lower then acceptable.
May be your doctor has reduced it due to the same reasons.
