What Could Be The Reason For Excessive Flatulence Which Has Started With C-diff And Am Due For Routine Colonoscopy?

I have been having excessive flatulence for the past few months. I believe it started with a bout of C.Diff (diagnosed by stool samples), which has since cleared up. But the flatulence persists. No other real symptoms. I am due for a routine colonoscopy (one 8 years ago was completely normal.) Are there any tests the doc could do during this colonoscopy that might diagnose my problem? j
