What Could Be The Reason For Having A Flow Of Orange Color Blood?

Going thru menopause, 49 y.o. Last real (regular in timing and flow) was last April or may. Had a very brief spotty one around thanksgiving and a few days ago got another one. This one is regular in flow but blood is very orange! This has never happened before. What can it mean?

Hi,

There can be several causes of postmenopausal bleeding. The most common causes are vaginal atrophy caused by lower oestrogen levels, cervical or uterine polyps ,non cancerous growths and cancerous growths.

Hence pelvis ultrasound,vaginal examination and pap smear can be done to rule out any abnormalities.
