What Could Be The Reason For Having A Ganglion Cyst On My Left Wrist?

I used to have a ganglion cyst on my left wrist, I had it on and off for about 3 years and then it disappeared for awhile. Suddenly now I have a problem in the exact same spot, only now instead of being a bump it s a very discrete indent and it is very painful I bend it upwards or downwards. I can t seem to find an answer on what exactly it is?

Hello,
Welcome to HCM,
Ganglion cysts are the most common mass in the hand These are not cancerous and are harmless. Most frequently develop on the back of the wrist.
These fluid-filled cysts can quickly appear, disappear, and change size.
Many ganglion cysts do not require treatment. If the cyst is painful, interferes with function it should be drained out.
Some of the measure you can follow are
1.Observe the swelling
2.The part having ganglion cyst should be rested with brace or splint
3.Aspiration. If the ganglion causes a great deal of pain the fluid may be drained from it.This will be done by your surgeon after proper examination.
Hope you find the solution.
Thank you.
