What Could Be The Reason For Having Abdominal Pain And Bloating?

Hello, I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS, (I have 2 children, 3 & 2) & my 3 year old was born following many IVF attempts. For the last week I've had a dull aching pain on the right side of my abdomen, (which I have experienced before), like someone is twisting something inside. I've also been feeling very bloated. Could this all be linked to the PCOS, or something else?

Thank you

Hi ! Good afternoon. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.

If I were your doctor, I would go for a clinical examination of yours, followed by an ultrasound of the abdomen to rule out any twisting/sudden enlargement etc, of an ovarian cyst, apart from few other pathology relating to intestines, appendix and the urological organs. Management would depend on the clinical finding and investigation reports.

I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem. Please do not hesitate to ask in case of any further doubts.
Thanks for choosing health care magic to clear doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
