What Could Be The Reason For Having Itchy Rashes On My Leg And Ankle?

i have been taking herbalife shakes almost daily for 3months i have recently been getting very itchy rash on the fronts of my legs and back near the ankle . could this be allergy to herbalife? my dr also increased my atenolol from 25mg to 50 mgs about 2 months ago could this be a cause of rash? YYYY@YYYY

Hello,
Thank you for writing to HCM

There is very less fat in the shin area of leg, so it is more prone to dehydration and xerosis. Itching and rash occurs due to xerosis or stasis of blood in the leg (depends on the age). I would advice you to take Tab.cetrizine hydrochloride once daily at night. Use dermocalm lotion (calamine) in the affected area. I advice you to keep your leg raised when you sit.
Consult your dermatologist if symptoms persist.
