What Could Be The Reason For Having Loose Stools And Blood In Stool?
Hi , My son suffered from loose stools for two weeks then suddenly got blood in stools about 12 times we admitted in hospital for 6 days for 10 antibiotic injections and doctor prescribed nutricia neocate powder now he is better can we continue nous obese soya
Noted the information about your son, albeit short. Loose stool with blood in stool indicates intestinal infection as the commonest cause and I think that got treated well. As for the continue with Nutricia Neocate powder as advised by your doctor and also ask about use of Nous Obese Soya and continue only if advised by the treating doctor.
Watch for any further development and get stool tests repeated to find out if there is any bleeding as sometimes less amount may not be visible and identified by lab tests only.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. T Chandrakant,
