What Could Be The Reason For Having Pain In My Joints, Ankles And Fingers?

I'm a 53 yr old female. Relatively good health though I am overweight. Take Norvasc daily plus some OTC meds. The past 2 months my joints & the tops of my feet have been aching. No muscle aches. And I'm tired. I don't sleep well and I work night shift. I'm thinking it's time to call my PCP. I have been told I have arthritis in my knees but they have hurt the least. Ankles and fingers are the worst. Sometimes my ankles are stiff to the point they won't bend. No swelling of my joints either.

Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic
I have gone through your query and understood your concerns
The type of arthritis differ depending on the cause. With this presentation, you might be having osteoarthritis which is a degenerative joint disease caused by the loss of cartilage in the joint, or rheumatoid arthritis. The latter is a disease that occurs when the body's immune system starts attacking joints (autoimmune disease). You might need to see a rheumatologist for proper assessment and management.

I hope that answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. We will be delighted to answer more questions from you.
I wish you good health
