What Could Be The Reason For Having Vomiting?

H, I've been vomiting since last night all through the night and can't seem to keep anything down. I did handle a chicken extracting the meat from it raw so i'm trying to work out if there is a chance that what I have is salmonella or just exhaustion and over-eating?

Hello,
I can understand your concern for your symptoms.
1) gastroenteritis can cause multiple episodes of vomiting. Is is inflammation (redness + swelling) of stomach and start part of intestine.
2) It develop due to irritation or allergy from particular food, uncooked or partially cooked food.
3) It is unlikely to have salmonella infection because it affect last part of small intestine or large intestine and main symptom for this infection is blood stained diarrhea rather than vomiting.
4) Avoidance of oily, spicy, raw food is essential in treatment of gastroenteritis.
5) antibiotics therapy, medication to prevent nausea (anti-emetics), medication to control abdominal pain (anti-spasmodic) are mainstay of treatment for gastroenteritis.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, I would be happy to help you.
Have a nice day!
