What Could Be The Reason For High Heart Rate?

hello, I am 26 years old and just gave birth to my son 4 months ago. I am breastfeeding but have noticed my heart rate Is pretty high even when I am not doing much. I went to urgent care and they did an ekg and it came back normal, could it be my postpartum anxiety/depression or hormones?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this increased heart rate. Is this heart rate increased at all times or it happens once in a while? If it happens once in a while, it may be related to anxiety, panic attacks, normal reaction to environmental challenges, etc. Your age and a normal EKG makes it very unlikely for this to be problem originating from the heart. I will suggest that you follow up with your doctor if this should continue to be of concern to you for an exhaustive investigation and management.

I hope this addresses your query fully and provides enough information for you to act on. Feel free to ask for any clarification or more information if needed and I will gladly respond to.Thanks for using our services and I wish you well.
