What Could Be The Reason For Pain In The Left Lower Chest And Belly Area?
4 1/2 year old grandson c/o pain left side (lower chest belly area). He states it hurts when he touches his side and that it also hurts even when he doesn t touch his side. My daughter took him to his pediatrician few days ago but it was suggested that it may be an acid problem and Mylanta was suggested. This doesn t sound like an gastric issue to me; the way he explains it it sounds more like skeletal tenderness or muscular. It has been bothering him approximately two -three weeks now.

Pain in left lower chest area could be due to skeletal problem or muscular pain. Renal stone or constipation also causes pain sometimes so get him checked by a pediatrician again.
