What Could Be The Reason For Stomach Ache And Fever For My Son?

Hello my 3 yr old son has been complaint of tummy hurting for about 3 weeks or so then his appitite went for some to now only taking 1-2 bites and gagging for the past week. We thought maybe he was hungry that's why tummy was hurting but now he has developed a fever of 102.8 and has slept a lot today what could be wrong with him.

Hi,

The symptoms your son is having could be related to flu. Monitor his temperature and:

- give him more fluids (fruits juices, water, milk)
- give oral rehydration salts
- do not force him to eat; let him eat what he likes until improvement
- give paracetamol or ibuprofen to reduce fever

If no improvement, consult a pediatritian:
-do fecal examination for ova/parasites
