What Could Be The Reason For Sudden Blue Veins And Spider Veins On Left Shoulder And Arm?
Hi, My daughter (22) has sudden blue veins and spider veins on her left shoulder and arm. No injury, no pain, just heavy, tight feeling and swollen down to fingers. Healthy and fit. x-rays and blood work are ok. MRI tomorrow to rule out a tumor. What does this mean?? Thank you

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vidya KR's Response
hi, Thanks for using HCM
Your daughter's symptoms are suggestive of vein obstruction(Obstruction to blood flow back to heart) It could be due to compression over vein could be a lymph node swelling or tumor Or it could be obstruction with in vein from thrombosis.
MRI is a good mode of investigation to look for soft tissue swelling. Not to get tensed, get test done then management will be planned accordingly.
Hope this helps you.
Regards
