What Could Be The Reason For The Sudden Variation Of The Dosage Of Atrial Fibrilation?
I am 88 years old. I`ve been taking Dioxin Tab 0.25 MG , one a day for Atrial Fibrilation. Today, I had an electrocardilogram (ECG) when I went to my cardiologist. After I got home, the doctor`s office telephoned me to reduce dosage to 1/2 amount for the next 3 weeks. Then, my doctor wants to give me another electrocardiogram testing. Is there any reason to worry about the dosage I`ve been taking for many years???
HI Thank for asking to HCM I can understand your concern The Dioxin (Digitalis ) drug this causes some changes in ECG and that is indication of toxicity of this drug on conduction system and so why the dose of this drug need to be reduced, this is nothing to worry physicians taking good care of this, the ECG changes does not cause any clinical symptoms, hope this information helps you have good day.
